Palilula Municipality will get a police department on its territory by the end of this year. For this purpose, one object will be adapted for police officers to be available for 24 hours, said Ninoslav Mitić, the chief of the Police Administration of Niš, on the Zona Plus television.

The opening of new police departments is a plan for the Nis police that is being implemented in cooperation with the city. “It’s a great city and there are many challenges that every big city carries, but I can certainly say that Niš is a safe city. Our task is to act preventively and to prevent bad events, said Mitic. According to Aleksandar Zdrale, the president of the Municipality, Palilula Municipality, where live more than eighty thousand inhabitants, has initiated the opening of the police department.

Keeping public order and peace and responding rapidly in certain situations will be the main tasks of the police department in Palilula. In order to strengthen the capacity and timeliness of police officers, the Police Directorate of Niš received forty patrol vehicles within the framework of the division of 710 cars to all police stations in Serbia.
