Gradska opstina Palilula

As a support for the football coach Piksi and the renovation of the field in the village of Pasi Poljana in the Palilula municipality, where the coach of the Serbian national team Dragan Stojković Piksi was born, works have begun on fixing the neglected field where the legend of Serbian football began his playing career.

The President of Palilula Municipality, Bratislav Vučković, announced that the landfill on the playground will be cleaned first, and then the renovation will begin. “This is a way for people from Nis to show that they are with the football legend and cheer him on with all their hearts – says Vučković. The initiative to restore Piksi’s field, from which he started to conquer the football world, was initiated by residents of Pasi Poljane village and a councilor in the Palilula Municipal Assembly, Milivoje Milić. He organized a petition that has been signed by two thousand people from Nis so far.The improvement of the playground in Pasa Poljana is not the only project this year on the territory of the municipality. There is also the construction of a water intake in Donje  Vlase, a basketball court and a new park on the site of a former wild dump with children park mobiliar in Mokranjčeva, construction of a road in Donje Međurovo. With the reconstruction of Igmanska, Vojvode Putnika and the construction of kindergartens and the water supply network in 12 streets in Novo Selo, the quality of life of the citizens of the Municipality of Palilula is getting better.
