    PALILULA MUNICIPALITY SPONSOR OF THE BALKAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE

    On Saturday, March 26, the City of Nis hosted the participants in the third tournament of the Balkan League in wheelchair basketball. The Balkan League consists of teams from four Balkan countries, Bosnia and Herzegovina (KKK Bijeljina – Bijeljina), Bulgaria (BKHU Levski – Sofia), Montenegro (KK OSI Paramont – Podgorica) and Serbia (KKK Nais – Nis). The teams played two games in the third round of the league, which is played in a tournament. The first two rounds were played in Bijeljina and Podgorica, and the tournament in Nis will be followed by the final tournament in Sofia.

    “The great atmosphere in the Cair Hall, an organization at the highest level, was enjoyed by all teams, and the Nis audience saw attractive wheelchair basketball! We thank the City of Nis for the general patronage and the City Municipality of Palilula for the patronage, without them this tournament would not be possible. Thanks to the Health Center for the medical support. Thank you to all participants, audience, patrons, sponsors, friends of the club for the great support with which we represented our city and country in the best possible way! ” – said prof. Dr. Marko Aleksandrović, Executive Commissioner of BWBL.

    The tournament was also attended by a large number of guests from the country and abroad.

    During the opening ceremony, the participants were greeted by one of the sponsors of the tournament, the President of Palilula Municipality, Mr. Bratislav Vuckovic.

    In the first game after a great fight, our basketball players did not manage to beat the first-placed team of KKK Bijeljina, while in the second game, to the joy of the home fans, a victory was recorded against BKHU Levski from Sofia.
