BRATISLAV VUČKOVIĆ, PRESIDENT OF PALILULA MUNICIPALITY, NIS: “PALILULA IS NOT THE MOST NUMEROUS, BUT THAT IS WHY IT HAS THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS”

Братислав Вучковић, председник Градске општине Палилула Ниш: “Палилула није најбројнија, али је зато са највећим проблемима”

On August 29, a press conference was held in the City Hall in Niš, where City councilors, employees of the City administration, presidents of City municipalities summarized the results achieved in the previous two years, since Dragana Sotirovski has been the head of the City of Niš.

On this occasion, Bratislav Vučković, the president of Palilula Municipality, spoke and he was very open.

“Palilula is not the most numerous, but that’s why it has the biggest problems, that’s simply the configuration of the field.” This period is characterized by field work. I can be satisfied with what we have done. It can be much more and better, but some of the problems we encountered last for 20 years or more. We started with Zdravko Vučković Street, for which there was no solution for a retaining wall for over 20 years, and it was completed. Many streets were built, but what is very important is that more than 50 km of Atar roads were built in the countryside. Palilula also has that rural part which includes 15 villages. These days we are working on more than one decade old problem, which is the water supply in Donje Vlase.”

President Vučković also reminded of the problem that was solved after 20 years. “I am especially happy that 12 streets with water supply are being built in settlement 9. Maj, which has not received a single street for over 20 years. The focus of Palilula Municipality was communal construction and environmental protection. The social status of Palilula residents is among the lowest compared to the City. The structure was such that many people from Palilula lost their jobs. In the previous period, we allocated over 10 million in financial aid to the most socially vulnerable. ”

He also highlighted the successes of the sports teams, four of which won a higher ranking, although until a few years ago they didn’t even have sports fields.
