    ASSOCIATION OF WORKING ACTIVITY “DELIJSKI VIS” IN PROJECTS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA

    УДРУЖЕЊЕ РАДНА АКЦИЈА „ДЕЛИЈСКИ ВИС“ У ПРОЈЕКТИМА ОПШТИНЕ ПАЛИЛУЛА

    On November 9, 2020, a reception was organized for the delegation of the Association of Working Action “Delijski Vis” in Palilula Municipality. The President of the Municipality, Bratislav Vuckovic, and his colleagues, thanked the young volunteers for the exceptional activity in the settlements of the municipality of Palilula, the support to citizens and institutions in repairing the devastated areas and arranging the inter-block space. The Municipality of Palilula is successfully cooperating with the non-governmental sector and this is an example of good practice. President Vuckovic announced more intensive cooperation and support to the members of the Association of Work Action “Delijski Vis” on the arrangement of the Old Cemetery under Gorica, the Bubanj Memorial Park and the Military Cemetery on Delijski Vis.

    According to Milan Spasić, one of the leaders of “voluntary work”, the project of planting “thuja” seedlings called “Fence the green area and think about the environment” has just been completed, which was financed by the Municipality of Palilula in 2020. Members of this Association have recently repaired the broken fence at the Serbian Military Cemetery, participated in the removal of graffiti from buildings and fences, arranging sports fields and furniture for the youngest Palilula. At the invitation of the Association for the Preservation of Tradition and Beautification of Palilula “SOKAK”, they participated in the arrangement of the central space near the Palilula ramp. On the so-called “Palilus teferic”, they removed inappropriate inscriptions on the wall next to the summer house, painted all the jardinieres and arranged the space near the “Svetinikolska fountain”.

    Apart from the support of the Municipality of Palilula, the activity of this association is also monitored by the public utility companies “Mediana”, “Directorate for City Construction, related civil society organizations, numerous donors, citizens and media representatives.
