Gradska opstina Palilula

The traditional manifestation in culture “PALILULA EVENING 2022”, organized by the Palilula Municipality -Niš as part of the city celebration Days of “Saint Emperor Constantine and Empress Helena” will be held on FRIDAY, June 3rd on the plateau next to PALILULA RAMP and in “Episkopska” street and “Vojvode Gojka”. The musical and stage program and accompanying activities was adopted by the Organizing Committee of the event, said the president of the Municipality, Bratislav Vučković. Niš Municipality of Palilula is recognizable as a part of the city, where the spirit of the old bazaar, noble but also bohemian Niš is nurtured. On this occasion, in addition to the participants of the cultural and artistic program, thousands of people from Nišli-Palilula and numerous guests from Norway, Bulgaria and Macedonia will gather at the Palilu Rampa, in “Episkoppka Street” and in “Vojvode Gojka” Street.

Journalists Jovica Milanović and Dragan Stojanović Žika and champions of the Niš National Theater, actors Ivana and Miroljub Nedović, will lead us through this year’s Palilula activities and music-stage program, Bratislav Vučković pointed out.

The program starts at 18:00 with the performance of: KUD KOVILJE-Folklore, KUD ABRAŠEVIĆ-folklore, MOZAIK – Ensemble of folk dances and songs, TEACHER’S LYRA – Mixed choir, GRACIJA – Ethno group. Certificates of appreciation and prizes and jerseys of FC RADNIČKI will be awarded on stage – 40 years since the greatest success of Niš football. Around 20:20, the trailer of the film about the suffering of Serbs in Norway “KARAŠJOK Death Camp” will be premiered and the authors of the film will be presented – Norwegian delegation: JARN OLSEN – Famous writer and narrator of the film, KJETIL PALMOQUIST – Director, Branko Dimović Dimeski – Producer, KNUT FLOVIK TORESEN- Historian and writer, TERJE HOLM- Director of photography.

CEREMONY OPENING of the “Palilula night” is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Welcome speech is expected – Bishop of Niš Mr. Arsenije, the Mayor of Niš, Dragana Sotirovski, and the President of Palilula Municipality, Bratislav Vučković.

The central program, from 21:00 to 24:00, is reserved for the performance of the traditional music group “LEGENDE” and CRNE MAMBE – band of Šaban Bajramović (blues, jazz, rock, pop and Roma music).

The President of Palilula Municipality, Bratislav Vučković, pointed out that a number of accompanying events were organized, such as – marble competitions and chess tournament “PALILULA OPEN”; Wine and brandy fair (on the corner of Episkopska and Kursulina streets); TOURISM – POSLENICI (Preparation of specialties in the street – Vojvode Gojka); EXHIBITION OF OLD CRAFTS AND HANDICRAFTS (near Triangle);

ON SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 2022, the EIGHTH MORAVIAN REGATTA will be held in honor of the teacher VIDEN JOVANOVIĆ (Mramor-Lalinac) and the International Veterans Football Tournament – BALKAN LEAGUE (sponsored by GO PALILULA) in Popovac. (D.V)
