The Belgrade Center for Human Rights in cooperation with the three national associations – the National Association of Practitioners of Youth Work, the Roof Youth Organization of Serbia and the National Association of Youth Offices, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the OSCE Mission to Serbia, organized a conference on June 19th : “Inclusion Live – Towards Inclusive Youth Policy”. The conference was an opportunity to bring together national and local actors in achieving the goals of the National Youth Strategy regarding the active participation and inclusion of young people from socially sensitive groups. City Municipality of Palilula-Youth Office was represented by Dusan Pujovic, Filip Cvetkovic and Milan Marinkovic.
After the introductory presentations and discussions of the participants of the Conference, a workshop “Synergy to inclusive youth policy” was organized, with the participants divided into smaller groups within which they exchanged their views, opinions and experiences, and made concrete policy proposals that were later distributed at the plenum . The themes were: What can I gain, or what is the benefit of cross-sectoral cooperation in the implementation of an inclusive youth policy? What are the challenges in implementing an inclusive youth policy and how to overcome them? What are the lack of competencies in the processes of implementing an inclusive youth policy and how to acquire them? Through a shared exchange of views, young people have come to practical conclusions that, according to the organizer of the meeting, will significantly contribute to the institutional development of an inclusive youth policy.
