Gradska opstina Palilula

This year, many participants of the 8th Scientific Conference, held at the School with the home of the students-pupils “Bubanj`, Nis, exchanged experiences and knowledge, emphasizing hearing impairment, speech and vision in children and their disharmonic development. In addition to our experts in otorhinolaryngology, psychiatry and other areas, this year’s conference was also attended by guests from the Region.

On behalf of Palilula Municipality, participants of the Conference were welcomed by Marija Brajdić, Head of Municipal administration. We are proud that in the Municipality of Palilula we have an institution that has already been successfully completing education and educational missions for already 65 years. Municipality of Palilula puts efforts that these values of democracy, tolerance and respect for diversity have the constant support of the wider social community – emphasized Brajdic. By applying inclusive education in our society, which perceives education, recognizing the different characteristics of students and adaptation to each student, they further emphasize the results and the important role of `Bubanj` school.

The school with the home of the pupils “Bubanj” was founded in the 1950s (1953) is today is a modern institution that uses modern technical means and methods in the treatment of people with many disorders and disabilities and is an example of good practice in the region. According to the director Snežana Čarapić, School “Bubanj” has invested a lot of effort and resources in the past years to create adequate conditions for teaching in high school, especially for performing practical lessons. In order to teach children the language and speech, 20 elementary education teachers are also educated.
