    GENERAL MILOSAV SIMOVIC – VIDOVDAN ACADEMY ORATOR

    ГЕНЕРАЛ МИЛОСАВ СИМОВИЋ БЕСЕДНИК ВИДОВДАНСКЕ АКАДЕМИЈЕ

    With the blessing of Bishop Nis G. Arsenije, and organized by the Orthodox Diocese , the Administration of the Church of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles in Nis and the NCPD “Branko” Ensemble, in the grand hall of the Svetosavski dom, was held on June 28, 2018, on the feast of the Holy Martyrs Prince Lazar and the Holy Serbian Martyrs – Vidovdan Academy. The ceremony began with the assignment of laureates and gifts to students of the generation of primary and secondary schools in Nis. The City of Niš, the Command of the Land Army of Serbia, the Niš-based church-singing family “Branko”, the city’s municipalities Mediana, Palilula, Pantelej, Crveni Krst and Niška Banja participated in the organization of this ceremony with the Administration of the Assembly Hall of the Holy Cross of St. Apostles.

    After the introductory words, His Eminence Bishop of Nis Arsenije announced the decision of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church to decorate Mrs. Zvezda Dejanovic, a great benefactor from Nis, the Order of the Holy Emperor Constantine. The management of the Primary School “Radoje Domanović” in Niš, led by the director Dušica Tričković, was also decorated with the Order of the Holy Emperor Constantine, to encourage the adolescence of the youth. The Order of the Holy Savior II degree was awarded to the Commander of the Land Army of Serbia, Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic, for his great love for the mother of the church and for the personal testimony of Christian values to the Army of Serbia. General Simovic held an inspired Word of God, which was repeatedly interrupted by long applause.

    In the later course of the program, during the presentation of pupils of generations of the “Knights’ Knowledge”, the welcoming speech was also addressed by the mayor of Nis, g. Darko Bulatovic. The program included the Military Army Orchestra of the Republic of Serbia, the Niš Branko and the Children’s Choir Branko with soloists, the Folklore Ensemble “Branko” and the Academic Folklore Ensemble “Oro” of the Student Cultural Center from Nis. The editor of the program was a priest Nenad Mikić, and the author of the synopsis Marina Milutinović.
