International fair of tourism and active holidays opened in Niš (March 29th). At this opening ceremony in the sport hall Cair attended a large number of officials, representatives of the Government of Serbia, the District, City Municipalities, guests from the region – Republic of Srpska, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, representatives of exhibitors. Palilula Municipality has also been among the exhibitors of the Fair this year, said the president of the Municipality Aleksandar Ždrale. Visitors to the stand of this Nis Nunicipality presented the publication “Cultural Historical Heritage and Tourism Potentials of Palilula Municipality.

The Director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Marija Labović, congratulated the hosts, the City of Nis and the Tourist Organization of Niš on the good organization of this fair event. On behalf of the City of Niš, Mayor Darko Bulatovic welcomed the distinguished guests and participants of the Fair in the Imperial City. On this occasion, he announced progress and increased investments in the City tourism industry.

Gastronomic and wine offer will be scheduled this year until March 31 in the foreground at the 19th International Tourism and Holiday Forum, as part of the presentation and tasting of the typical local cuisine of exhibitors. According to the tradition of their offer, they will present tourist agencies, tour operators, tourist organizations of Cities and Municipalities, hotel operators, representatives of spa and health tourism, sports and recreational tourism and active holidays, event organizers, associations of independent exhibitors of souvenirs. “For the participants and visitors of the Fair, a rich program will be prepared, to which everyone can join,” said the Tourist Organization of Nis. “A one-day conference on adventure will be organized, followed by the promotion of cultural heritage, as well as the presentation of special programs traditionally held in the conference hall.”

The International Fair of Tourism and Active Rest has become one of the significant events of the presentation of the tourism industry in the region. This event in Niš opened the possibility of establishing new contacts in order to strengthen the tourism economy and regional connectivity.
