Gradska opstina Palilula

The Center for the Improvement of the quality of life “Preobrazenje” in cooperation with the elders of the St. Petka Church and the patronage of the City Municipality of Palilula, organized a prize contest for the most beautiful drawing and literary work on the theme “Christmas, Christmas – Peaceful Day.
After the Liturgy, which was held on January 8th in the Church of St. Petka, on the occasion of the Holy Mother of God’s Gathering, a performance for about 560 gathered pupils of pre-school age and pupils up to the fourth grade of elementary schools was played.

In the presence of the president of Palilula Municipality, Aleksandar Ždrale, the head of the temple, the protojerej Ivan Cvetković, the representative of the Institution `Pcelica` Snežana Šuković, teachers and parents, the organizer of the competition, the president of the Association “Preobrazenje”, Dr. Mirjana Marković and associate Sunčica Radivojević, gave three awards to the most successful preschoolers and students in the field of fine arts and students from the first to the fourth grade in the field of literary creativity.

The competition on the theme “Christmas, Christmas – peaceful day” was announced on November 29th and interested pupils and children of preschool age, from the territory of the City of Nis, could, with the help of their mentors, teachers and educators, sent their works by December 25th.
