A two-day meeting of the # Human Resources Management Network SCTM takes place in Belgrade (September 25-26). The participants of this meeting, the first day, were welcomed by: Ana Brnabić, Serbian Prime Minister, Branko Ružić, Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government, Sam Fabrici, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia, Snežana Samardžić Marković, Director General of the Council of Europe’s Directorate General for Democracy and Đorđe Staničić , the Secretary General of the SCTM.
The main topic of the meeting is exchange of experience and knowledge from practice, between experts from the business world and public administration, who are engaged in human resource management. From the City Municipality of Palilula, this meeting of the Network is attended by Marija Brajdić, Head of the Municipal Administration and Natasa Pećić Kostadinović, Head of the Department for Legal and Common Affairs, Palilula Municipality. At the opening of the meeting, Ana Brnabić, the Serbian Prime Minister, pointed out that the Government’s goal is that Serbia has a professional, efficient and friendly public administration, both at the republic and at the local level, and that human resources are our greatest potential and strength.
The bill on the National Academy of Public Administration is already in parliamentary procedure. This law will ensure that employees in local self-governments have the same scope and quality of professional development as those in state bodies. “There is a great deal of work to change our attitude towards work, Minister Branko Ruzic said. Slowly, we all become aware that efficient and service public administration becomes something that should be standard, regardless of any political change. ”
The Network Meeting was organized within the project “Human Resource Management in Local Self-Government”, implemented in cooperation with the Office of the Council of Europe in Belgrade, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and the SCTM, with the financial support of the Council of Europe and the EU Delegation.
