Gradska opstina Palilula

In order to support the activities of citizens’ associations and improve cooperation in the field of sports and recreational programs and environmental protection, Palilula Municipality, in cooperation with SAFARI Club Nis, Association of Recreational Fishermen “ECO FISHING”, will implement on July 17 sports and recreational program 7th MORAVIAN REGATTA – “TEACHER VIDEN JOVANOVIĆ” 2021`.

On this occasion, Palilula Municipal President, Bratislav Vuckovic, organized on June 28, a meeting with representatives of organizations. MORAVSKA REGATTA – called “TEACHER VIDEN JOVANOVIĆ” is a recreational and sports event established in 2014 in the City Municipality of Palilula, held in South Morava. It aims to show the skills and dexterity of the participants, which requires rafting as an extreme sport, to promote a healthy lifestyle, the beauty of South Morava and environmental protection activities.

It is organized in accordance with certain rules in memory of the teacher Viden Jovanović from the elementary school “Branko Miljković” in Niš who drowned on Lake Vlasina (25 years ago) together with the student Mladen Pejčić, when he tried to save him from the vortex.
