Wisdom in words and deeds, modesty, humanity, moderation, understanding, a gentle smile in the eyes and a look full of clarity and reason, is the great legacy of the Serbian Patriarch and our longtime Nis Bishop Irinej, clergyman and restorer of temples and monasteries.

Wise, noble people live peacefully and wish peace, joy and happiness to everyone, they are there to point the way to reconciliation and Orthodoxy, the only true path of understanding. Such was our Serbian Patriarch Irinej.

For every wisdom uttered, deeply rooted in every stone and foot of the Diocese of Nis for so many years dedicated to it and the Serbian Patriarchate, we say goodbye with sadness, but also with the knowledge that true faith leads such selected clergy and people of pure heart to God’s paradise.

On behalf of the management, all associates, employees and former presidents of the City Municipality of Palilula, and on my own behalf, I thank you endlessly for everything done and everything that is yet to be done, guided by the messages of the spiritual heritage of His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia. It has been a great honor for me to be in your presence, learn from you and follow your path and advice for so many years, when cooperating in public life.
