As part of the activities on solving the problem of fecal wastewater in the settlement of Palilula municipality – “Ledena Stena” and arranging railway routes (Niš-Medjurovo, Niš – Niška Banja), the President of Palilula Municipality Bratislav Vucković received the head of the Republic Inspectorate for Railway Affairs Dragisa Elezovic, the head of the Republic Inspectorate for State Roads Sasa Draganovic and the head of the Nis Railway Maintenance Section, Ivan Stevcic.
Vojkan Tričković, the head of the Department for Property Affairs of the Administration of Palilula Municipality, also participated in the conversation about the maintenance of level crossings, regulation of railway routes, discharge of fecal waters and cooperation with the Municipality of Palilula. The delegation of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure – Sector for Inspection Supervision and Railways of Serbia, was introduced by the President of the Municipality of Palilula with the current problems that are present in this area.
“It was announced from the Ministry of Finance that an international tender for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in Nis will be announced this month (September). This project of building a wastewater treatment plant, worth more than 50 million euros, has been on the agenda of local authorities for several decades. The project includes the rehabilitation of about 4 km of existing collectors, about 20 km of new, about 26 km of new sewage in the villages, pumping stations on the network, construction of wastewater treatment plant Ciganski kljuc and wastewater treatment at VTP Mediana.
After the project documentation was done, the preconditions were met for this tender to be announced and the works to start.
