    SERBIAN PEACE FORCES SENT TO LEBANON

    A ceremonial farewell to Serbian peacekeepers was organized at the Knjaz Mihailo barracks in Nis on December 23, joining the UN multinational operation in Lebanon (UNIFIL). 161 members of the Serbian Armed Forces (infantry companies of the Third Brigade of the Army) will be escorted out to be engaged in peacekeeping in the country, attended by Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff General Milan Mojsilovic.

    Minister Vulin told Serbian peacekeepers not to forget to wear a blue UN-flag beret, but also to never forget to wear the “Serbian flag and Serbian uniform”. “You keep our flag and our great and honorable name and those before you have left you with the respect, affection, attention and love of the people they worked with. You must do nothing less. It is up to you to preserve that honorable and beautiful name, to preserve the respect and love left by those before you. Be brave, hardworking, disciplined, but above all, take care of each and every one of you.
