In the Special school with the home of the pupil “Bubanj”, which works on the territory of Palilula Municipality, the Sensory Park was officially opened.
By cutting the rope, Deputy Minister of Science Nikola Tanić, in the presence of the President of the Municipality of Palilula, Aleksandar Ždrale, and the Director of the Special School, Snežana Čarapić, marked the beginning of the work of a summer classroom that will be in the function of rehabilitation for the children with developmental disabilities. For this investment, about 2 million dinars have been allocated.
This solemn ceremony was attended by the parents of the Special School, a delegation of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development with Assistant Minister for Student and Student Standards Ljubisa Antonijevic, representatives of public companies and institutions, representatives of the City Municipality of Palilula, headed by the President of the Municipality Aleksandar Zdrale and the President of Palilula Assembly Adriana Anastasov, Head of Education for the Administration of the City of Nis Marina Kostic.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Head of School Administration Nis, Dragan Gejo and the Minister of Science Nikola Tanić, addressed the participants. Director of the Special School with the home of pupils “Bubanj”, Snežana Čarapić, in the welcoming speech to the present guests, emphasized the importance of opening the Sensory Park, which will be in function to facilitate the rehabilitation and education of children, especially when it comes to autism, mental disturbance, limitation of extremities or children deaf or deaf. For each of these disturbances in the park there is a segment that stimulates the very sense that the child needs, said Director Čarapić. This sensory park is the only one of its kind in the region. Apart from the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the City of Nis-City Municipality of Palilula, the realization of the project was realized with the support of individuals, associations and socially responsible companies.
At this ceremony, the choir `Gracija` with the conductor, Suzana Petrovic, and the famous Nis and Serbian co-author Oliver Katic performed. Today, 220 pupils, of all ages, from pre-school to secondary vocational education from all parts of the region attend the special school “Bubanj”.
