Gradska opstina Palilula

Production plants of the Meat Industry “Biftek” in Nis, located on the Mramorsko Hill in the Municipality of Palilula, were visited by the Mayor of Nis, Darko Bulatovic, and the President of Palilula Municipality, Aleksandar Zdrale, with associates. The Nis producer and slaughterhouse “Biftek”, one of the three leading meat industries in Serbia and with over 120 retail stores, is expanding its production. As announced by Milos Radojevic, owner of “Biftek”, this company will release the first contingent of meat and meat products in the Republic of Srpska at the end of October. Increased business volume and production requires the reception of new workforce.

The Mayor announced more support for the City to hire workers. In the meat industry “Biftek” are all kinds of meat and meat products. Quality and price are what distinguishes them from the competition. The City of Niš and the Municipality of Palilula make significant steps to support all participants in an important process of local economic development.
In the aim of improving the development and creation of an environment that will stimulate economic activities, the City Municipality of Palilula has adopted the Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship.

On the occasion of the celebration of the City of Niš, the “Biftek” meat industry was awarded on June 5, 2017, the newly established “St. Car Constantine and Empress Helen” for contribution to local economic development in 2016. This prestigious award has been established and awarded to the most successful companies based in the City of Niš, which contribute to a more positive economic picture of the City and reduce unemployment.
