Gradska opstina Palilula

On the occasion of the Day of Liberation of Nis from the Turks, the delegation of Palilula Municipality, Bratislav Vuckovic, the President of the Municipality and Sasa Usenovic, a member of the Municipal Council, laid a wreath at the Monument to the Liberators at King Milan Square.

Representatives of the City, districts, army, police and associations that takes care of the tradition of the liberation wars of Serbia also laid wreaths on the occasion of the 144th anniversary.

Nis was liberated on January 11, 1878, and after almost five hundred years, the Serbian flag fluttered on the walls of the Nis fortress. (D.V.)
