With the help of the project “YESTERDAY, TODAY, BUBANJ”, which was created by the participants of the KreNI3 conference, the Memorial Park “Bubanj” in the Municipality of Palilula got its own model, which will enable blind and visually impaired people to visually experience this object of monument by touch and soon with the help Bray Alphabet-special letter for the blind. Everything started at the end of 2017.
The idea was to make the significance of the cultural and historical heritage of the Memorial Park Bubanj accessible to people with disabilities. This was done by a team of KreNI3 conference participants, in cooperation with Palilula Municipality. In the previous period, a tactile map was created that illustrates the appearance of the monument – three fists and was set in early April 2019 at the Memorial Park Bubanj, near the monument.The creation of a poet, according to the decision of the young academic artist-sculptor, Milena Lazarević, was financially supported by the City Municipality of Palilula and donors of the KreNI Conference.
Marija Milanovic from the Association of the Blind, City of Nis is the first blind and visually impaired person in Nis who through a tactile map was showing the form of the monument – three fists on “Bubanj” visually experienced this monument by touch.
On the significance and results of the project “Yesterday, Today, Bubanj”, developed during KreNI3 conference of creative industries, at the press conference on April 3 in the park “Bubanj” spoke Aleksandar Ždrale, President of Palilula Municipality, Marija Milanović from the organization the blind of the City of Niš, Snežana Andrić, the President of the Young Ambassadors, Vladimir Lukić, the representative of the KreNI3 conference team and Milena Lazarević, an academic artist.
