Gradska opstina Palilula

At the ceremony marking the opening of the traditional manifestation “Days of Burek Nis 2019” (burek-cheese pie) at the quay by the river Nišava at the Amphitheater, the President of Palilula Niš, Aleksandar Ždrale, was presented with a symbol of this event to support the organization.

At this year’s – 15th International Burek Days event, which runs until August 18, seven bakeries from Nis and three from abroad – Greece, Bulgaria and Northern Macedonia – are gathered and fans of this specialty – pie, will be able to enjoy different flavors. The organizers are the Union of Bakers Niš in cooperation with the Tourism Organization of Niš.
