Gradska opstina Palilula

The memorial to the victims of the bombing of Nis on April 08, 1941, was held this year at the Old Gorica Cemetery. The wreaths were laid by the representatives of the City, the Serbian Army, the delegation of the SUBNOR, the Police, the Association for the Conservation of Traditions of the Liberation Wars, the Russian Cultural Center, the delegation of GO Pantelej.On behalf of Palilula Municipality, a delegation led by a member of the Municipal Council Ivica Stojanovic laid flowers the memorial to the fallen victims of the April bombing. In the fascist attacks of Germany to Serbia, in World War II, only in April, the bombing of the civilian population of Nis,were killed about 400 citizens, and more than 500 were more easily or severely injured. The bombs destroyed many facilities in a short time, citizens were killed in houses, on the streets, in the hospital. They were all buried in the Gorica Old Cemetery in a one grave.
