Gradska opstina Palilula

The Operational Team of the Emergency Situations of the City of Nis held a working meeting in Palilula Municipality building in order to review the results of the measures taken to pump the water out in the flooded area in the settlement “9.Maj” and the industrial zone and also for the broad support for the vulnerable population. The team of the experts from public utility companies of the City of Nis (Naisus, Medijana), Elektrodistribucija Nis, Juzna Morava, Erozija, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Institute for Health Protection, Palilula Municipality and City of Nis are continuously working on this task.

According to Aleksandar Bogajcevic, Operational Team Coordinator, the situation on the ground is stable despite unfavorable weather conditions. We are working on finding a lasting solution to this decades-old problem. In addition to the members of the Operational Team and the host of this meeting, the President of the City Municipality of Palilula, Aleksandar Ždrale, the Deputy Mayor of Niš, Prof.dr Miloš Banđur, participated in this meeting. After the meeting, members of the Operational Team of the Emergency Situations Station visited the industrial zone around the Penitentiary and the area around the Nisava collector.
