Nis military airport, “Narednik – Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” Airport, opened the last weekend of the gate 1 and 2 from Medosevac and Sarajevska Street, on the occasion of the traditional “Open Day” campaign organized by the 98th Airborne Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces. According to the airport commander, Major Milan Mitrovic, the aim of this action was to present to citizens, through direct contact, activities in units of the 98th Airborne Brigade and units of the Serbian Armed Forces.

Numerous citizens, representatives of local authorities, institutions and organizations had the opportunity, in addition to the aircraft’s sightseeing, to see the capabilities of hunter-bombers and helicopter pilots, as well as to get acquainted with the `job` of military pilots. ”

On the manifestation “OPEN DAY”, on behalf of Palilula Municipality , the Head of Municipal Administration Marija Brajdic was also present. This was also a cause for meeting with the Commander of the Air Force and the PVO Brigadier General Dusko Zarkovic and the commander of the 98th Airborne Brigade, Colonel Dejan Vasiljevic.
