Gradska opstina Palilula

Palilula Municipality, celebrated the Saint day called “Serbian Saints Assembly” at the premises of the NKC on September 9th.
After the complimentary speech of the President of the Municipality Aleksandar Ždralet, Bishop of Niš Arsenije has performed a traditional ritual of “slicing Saints day cake”. The host of this year’s celebration was the head of the Municipal administration, Marija Brajdić. This important day for the Municipality of Palilula is celebrated since 2005, with the icon of the Assembly of Serbian Saints, the work of Ana Borovec, painter-iconographer. The celebration “The Assembly of Serbian Saints” gathered a number of officials from organizations and institutions also this year.

The leadership of the Municipality of Palilula, headed by the President of the Municipality, Aleksandar Ždrale, the President of the Municipal Assembly, Andrijana Anastasov, the head of Municipal administration Marija Brajdić (the host of this year’s celebration) and the members of the Municipal Council, received at the reception numerous officials from the institutions and organizations of the municipality and the City of Nis.

On this occasion, the tenth edition of “Palilulske novine” Palilula newspapers- a yearbook of the City Municipality of Palilula was promoted. In the area of the Niš Cultural Center, which, due to the lack of space in the municipalities of Palilula, often is used for the work activities of the Municipal authorities, a short artistic program was also performed with the performance of Choir “Gracija”, the group “La Kampanela” and the Chamber Orchestra “IMPRESSION”.
