The Ninth Car Fair was opened today (October 5, 2018) in the Cair Hall in Nis. About thirty exhibitors and great discounts approved by car dealers are a good reason why all four-wheeler lovers look at their favorite models this weekend. The fair was opened by Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic.

On behalf of Palilula Municipality, which supported this event and organized its own promo stand at the Fair, the opening of “Auto Moto Fest Nis 2018” was attended by the Head of Municipal Administration Marija Brajdić.

The automotive industry was the first to feel the effects of a major economic crisis, and many of these fairs in Europe and the world have stopped with organizations. That’s why we are pleased even more because the Fair in Nis has been held for the ninth time. Announcing the ninth autumn car fair in Nis, Ljajić said that since 2001, about 70 companies from the automotive industry have entered Serbia, with ten percent of all foreign investments in the sector. “After all, 40,000 people work in these companies and this is actually one of the sectors that is a locomotive and engine of development of our entire economy,” Ljajic emphasized. Out of 15 largest exporters in Serbia, as many as 5 are from the auto industry and they make the biggest production, the minister reminded. “This Fair is not only important for the economy, but for the tourism of Nis and Serbian tourism, and that is why it deserves even greater support from the state,” Ljajic said.

The Mayor of Nis, Darko Bulatović, congratulated the organizer for the successfully organized Fair, with the wish that the next tenth jubilee be even better. “This Fair confirms that Nis is a regional center of southeastern Serbia, and the need to use all the strengths we have to make in the future all that makes us a big and significant center” Bulatovic added.

Dragana Sotirovski, Head of Nišava District, expressed her satisfaction because the Fair is becoming more and more serious every year. “Nis needs an expo center, so we will start preparations for the construction next year, so this big event will get one adequate space,” Sotirovski said.

The founder of the Auto Show in Niš, Oliver Paunović, remined others and the public of what the late Mirko Alvirović, the SAT editor, said during the opening of the first fair: “Nis got a Car Show,” adding, “I’m happy and proud because my city got the biggest and most visited economic and tourist event. I hope that we will get a fair space as soon as possible. ”

The ninth “Auto Moto Fest Nis 2018”, organized by City Marketing Center, will be open until 7 October. The working hours of the fair are from 10 to 20 hours. The price of the ticket is 200 dinars.
