Gradska opstina Palilula

Within the Children’s Week, under the slogan “Let the planet shine”, at the Army House of Serbia in Nis, the 6th international event “Meetings of Friendship – Joy of Europe 2018” was held in organization of the Center for Traditional Culture and Spirituality “Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic” in Nis and the Children’s Cultural Center Belgrade.

This eleventh meeting of children of Europe in Nis was accomplished with the support and patronage of the City of Niš – the Secretariat for Culture and Education, the Municipalities of Palilula and Pantelej and the Command of the Army of Serbia. Participants of the program from Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, China and Serbia, as well as numerous guests, were greeted by the President of Palilula Municipality Aleksandar Ždrale.

Over the past few years, more than 1,000 children from 14 countries have performed in this manifestation, artistic director of CTKD “Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic” in Nis, Miljko Petrovic, said. With the participants of the program from abroad, performances of orchestras, choirs, folk ensembles and dance groups from Serbia: Choir Children’s Cultural Center from Belgrade, soloists of RTS Children’s Choir, winners of “Majska pesma” festival, Mladen Marinković and Jana Milosavljević from Dečijeg Cultural Center in Nis, Choir OŠ “Ucitelj Tasa”, Children’s Orchestra “Radoje Domanović” in Niš, Children of the City of Pirot, Ensemble of the Center for Traditional Culture and Spirituality “Vuk Stefanović Karadžić” Niš.
