A ceremony marking the Day of the Third Brigade of the Land Army was held in Nis Barracks “Knjaz Mihailo”, commemorating October 7, in commemoration of the day when the Second Infantry Regiment of the 1st call of the Moravian Division “Knjaz Mihailo”, known as “Iron”, began its participation in the The First Balkan War. On the occasion of the Third Brigade Day, prominent members of this unit were rewarded and commended. Commander of the Third Army Ground Brigade, Brigadier General Sladjan Stamenkovic, presented the acknowledgment to the President of Palilula Niš, Aleksandar Ždrale, for the accomplished successful cooperation.
The ceremony was attended by Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Milosav Simovic, Commanders of units from the Army and Garrison Nis, representatives of local governments of cities and counties of southern Serbia, representatives of religious communities, veterans and other associations. Within the ceremony, a tactical and technical assembly was organized at which numerous citizens, students of primary and secondary schools could see some of the funds used in the care, and a prominent role was played by the Niš Red Cross Organization, which participates in this ceremony every year. After the units’ defile, the military folk ensemble “Šajkača” performed an attractive program.
