The arrival of Air Serbia aircraft from Belgrade at 6 pm and 40 minutes (Monday 15 July) at Nis Airport “Constantine the Great” opens flights of the national airline from Nis.

In the presence of the Head of Nisava Administrative District, Dragana Sotirovski, a delegation of the City – led by the Mayor, welcomed Airbus, who immediately flew from Niš to Nuremberg, also was attended by the President of Palilula, Alexander Ždrale.

This promoted Nis Airport as the second base in Serbia for aircraft of national companies. In the next days, regular flights to all twelve European destinations of Bologna, Hanover, Tivat, Gothenburg and Frankfurt will be established from Nis, including Ljubljana, Budapest, Salzburg during the first three days of August. Air Serbia from Nis flies on the basis of the results of an international tender for public service lines issued by the Government of Serbia, which enables connection of ten districts in Serbia with six EU countries and Montenegro.
