The municipal COOMUNAL police in the City of Nis sent a media message to the citizens and reminded them of the legal obligation to clean up the snow from the sidewalk in front of residential buildings, houses and shops, in the width of five meters, and in the length of the entire facility owned by them.
Communal police patrols are on site and are controlled by the removal of snow and ice from citizens. “It is the duty of all our fellow citizens, regardless of whether they are collective homes, private houses or local businesses,” said Milan Djordjevic, Chief of the Communal Police in Nis. The communal police will, as before, work preventively on the field, and if the citizens do not remove the snow and the ice will be imposed certain sanctions, which are also prescribed by law. “For these violations, the issuance of misdemeanor orders is foreseen for individuals in the amount of RSD 6,000, for entrepreneurs in the amount of RSD 20,000 and for a legal entity in the amount of RSD 60,000. I hope, says Djordjevic, that citizens will be aware of their obligations primarily because of their own safety and security of the citizens who pass through it and who can fall into the ice if they are not cleaned.
