Gradska opstina Palilula

In the City Municipality of Palilula, in the hall of the hotel “Vidikovac”, last weekend, the 4th Folklore Festival, was successfully organized by the folk dance ensemble and songs “Mozaik”. This year’s Seminar was opened by the President of Palilula, Aleksandar Ždrale, who pointed out that cultural artistic creativity is cultivated in Palilula and through projects, encourages groups and individuals to work in this area.

The Mosaic Ensemble is an example of good cooperation between cultural artistic groups and the local self-government unit. The Palilula Night, a traditional cultural manifestation, held in honor of the City of Niš, brings together cultural creators every year and promotes their achievements.The President wished successful participants of the Seminar, who gathered over forty players, assistants, artistic leaders and choreographers of folk games from all over Serbia, to have a successful work and stay in Nis.

According to the words of Marjan Zdravkovic from the `Mozaik` Ensemble, three areas were covered in the Seminar: dances, songs and costumes of Bosilegrad Krajists and Nova Varos, lecturer, choreographer Ljubomir Mile Vujcin; Competition and the processing of the poems of the mentioned areas, Professor Vladimir Milicevic: Contemporary field research of Zaplanja and the environment of Nis, lecturer doc.dr Danijela Popovic from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Nis. About the inclusion of children with developmental disabilities through the movement and the dance, the participants of the Seminar met introduced the defectologist Marijola Mancev.
